Dawn Marie’s Candles is sort of an accidental business you might say. I have always loved candles so my husband gave me a high-quality candle-making kit as a gift almost two years ago. 

When my friends and family would smell my homemade candles burning they started asking if I would be willing to sell any of them. So I started out making one-pound batches of the different scents that people were requesting. 

I was only making six-ounce candles at first but people started asking for larger and larger jars including the 26-ounce apothecary jar that I now make. That request pushed the batch size up to four pounds which in turn resulted in extra candles being poured, those extras began to pile up. 

I decided to get a table at a craft fair to sell the extra candles and that was a huge success. This cycle has been repeating itself so my little hobby has turned into a business for me now. 

I continue to use the highest quality cleanest burning ingredients that I can find, to make my candles to be confident that anyone that purchases my candles is getting the best possible experience burning them
